We're delighted to announce that on 26th March, The Malvern will be welcoming et al. to our product range.
As many of you know, I only introduce new products after careful research and consideration. With that in mind, I wanted to share my experience ahead of the launch.
et al. is a skincare-makeup brand developed by the International Institute for Active Ageing. This is the same institute behind many of the clinical products I have used at The Malvern for years. Overseen by iiaa medical director, Dr Gaby Prinsloo, the range has been formulated with carefully tested active ingredients that support long-term skin health, which makes it a natural fit for The Malvern.
I wear very little makeup, and it’s incredibly important to me that what I do wear is beneficial to my skin. Over the past six months I have been testing the range and I have found that it behaves far more like skincare than traditional makeup. I have thoroughly investigated their product ingredients and tests. Here are a few of my favourite findings:
All of their products have undergone dermatologist testing far beyond industry standards. Products are sensitiser free, allergen free and non-comedogenic, which means they’re specifically designed to keep your pores clear.
Their foundations contain essential vitamins and broad-spectrum UVA/UVB sun protection.
Their primers protect against atmospheric pollutants and contain a chemical called Alpha Glucosyl Hesperidin which has been repeatedly proven to improve microcirculation and reduce inflammation.
Their lip colours contain moisturising emollients and tri-peptides to help boost collagen in your skin.
- All products are 100% Vegan, cruelty free and all packaging is either refillable, or recyclable.
Apart from the science, its also happens to be a beautifully curated, concise collection that enhances my skin, instead of masking it.
I have seen how poorly tested and poorly regulated makeup can easily undo much of the hard work we put into our skin. It has been lovely to use makeup that I really trust, not only to be safe, but to support my skin health.
If you would like to experience it for yourself, I would love to welcome you for a one-to-one consultation session on Thursday 26th March. We can find you a colour match and demonstrate the real benefits of et al.
Warmest regards, as always,
Yvette
The date for my next skin analysis event is Wednesday, January 21st between 1pm and 7.30pm. Places are limited so email now to secure a slot!
Dear Clients,
2025 has been another wonderful year at The Malvern. Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who has supported our work at the clinic. We will close for Christmas on Monday 22nd December and reopen on Saturday 3rd January 2026.
To help Samaritans answer more calls for support, We'll be making a donation instead of sending Christmas cards to clients this year. You can learn more and help support their work at samaritans.org/donate-now.
We wish you and your families a very happy time over Christmas and New Year. See you again in 2026!
Best Wishes,
Yvette
We have updated our clinic systems; booking, forms, and client records are now stored and processed digitally.
Dear Clients,
I wanted to give you a little information about some updates we are making to The Malvern. It is of great personal importance to me that I continue to offer the best care to my clients. To ensure that this remains possible, I regularly review and update how The Malvern operates. Over the past year, we have been evaluating and testing the viability of going ‘paperless’. This means that all client records, notes, treatment updates, before and after photographs, and communications would become digital.
This process began over a year ago when, as you may recall, we upgraded our online booking system. We are now ready to continue this process so that The Malvern can ensure your data is safe, whilst improving your access to personal data and reducing our environmental impact. As we transition to our new ‘paperless’ system, you may notice some new procedures to make sure your details are accurate and up to date:
When you next book an appointment with The Malvern, you will be asked to complete an online consultation form. This will be kept securely within your profile and can be updated at any time. You may also be prompted in future to confirm if anything has changed - just like you do when you visit your GP or Dentist.
For treatments where additional consent forms are required (such as Laser/IPL), these
can now be completed digitally in clinic via our new tablet – again much like at your GP or Dentist.
If all goes well, you should hardly notice anything has changed. Nonetheless, please do not worry if you encounter a problem. I am more than happy to help you amend any details when you are next at the clinic.
I hope that these changes make sense and that you enjoy interacting with this cleaner and greener system in the weeks and months ahead. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Best Wishes,
Yvette Guthrie, at The Malvern
