I have spent over 35 years working in skincare, specialising in electrolysis and other advanced skincare procedures. I started my own clinic in 2005 in a rural and discreet location in Shurlock Row, Berkshire. The Malvern grew considerably in the following years and in 2015 we moved to a purpose-built clinic to provide more space and maintain the private and peaceful environment that I was so sure the clinic, and my clients, deserved. The Malvern and I remain at the same tranquil facility to this day, and I continue to be very proud of the professional and care driven service that we offer.
A great deal has changed since I opened my clinic for the first time, over 20 years ago. What began in a single room of my family home has grown into a renowned British skin clinic. In 2024, I was elected to the board of the British Institute & Association of Electrolysis. Since then, I have overseen industry changes and technological developments, and mentored and examined many new practitioners.
Through all of this change, though, my clients have remained at the core of what I do. I continue to work with them every day to achieve highly effective, life changing results.
I originally qualified and joined the Institute of Electrolysis in 1988 which then merged with - and became part of - the British Institute and Association of Electrolysis (BIAE) in 2004. I have been a continuous member - and an accredited electrologist - for 35 years. I am one of only 3 BIAE accredited electrologists in Berkshire. As of 2024, I have also been elected to the board of the BIAE.
I hold VTCT (ITEC) Certificates in the following advanced treatments:
Advanced Epilation Techniques (Level 4 - highest available qualification)
Laser and Intense Pulsed Light / IPL (Level 4 - highest available qualification)
Advanced Blemish Removal (Level 5 - highest available qualification; equivalent to a foundation degree)
I have also qualified in BIAE courses for the specific treatment of Transgender patients. All of the above are in addition to my original Diploma qualifications.
I like to give back to the industry in appreciation of the support I have gleaned over the years and I do this by mentoring therapists to ensure we all have the same opportunities to learn and develop new skills. Updating my skill set with additional training and workshops in order to provide the latest techniques and technologies to my clients is a continually ongoing activity.
